Chinese owner denies it's willing to sell TikTok as US ban looms

ByteDance, the Chinese parent company of TikTok, responded to the recent bill signed by President Joe Biden, saying it has no intention to sell the popular social media platform. The company debunked foreign media reports suggesting they were exploring a sale, stating that these claims were untrue. The bill, which could lead to a nationwide ban on TikTok, poses a significant risk to the platform. Under the new legislation, TikTok must find a new owner within months or face a complete ban in the United States, its largest market with 170 million users. So far, TikTok’s CEO has vowed to fight the decision in court.
